Plett Wine & Bubbly
Plettenberg Bay is about to experience their first Wine & Bubbly festival this weekend 3-5th October. Plett Tourism and the Plett Wine Growers Association have been working hard to showcase this wonderful event in our beautiful bay.
This event is going to be a celebration of Plett Winelands, which started about 14 years ago when the first vineyard was planted in the Crags, against the Tsitsikamma Mountains.
The Plett Wine industry has come a long way, we now have 16 vineyards producing award winning Sauvignon Blanc and Méthode Cap Classique. The Garden Route, with its ideal climate of cool wet winters, moderate summers and good soils is clearly perfect for the wine this region is producing. In 2005 Plettenberg Bay was named a South African ”Wine of Origin Region”
As they say….It is South Africa’s time to shine and we in Plett are going to do just that this weekend with more than 30 local wines and bubbly to sip savour & sea on the lawns of the Beacon Island Hotel. S A’s top local band, Watershed, will be there to entertain us. Local restaurants and chef Rich Rorich will delight us with their delicious food.
Come and spend the weekend with us at Cornerway House 2 nights @ R1250 includes full breakfast and ticket to Plett Wine & Bubbly Festival, including Watershed & branded bubbly glass.
